Cynthia Miller-Idriss, a leading expert on extremism and radicalisation, presents her topical and provocative book Man Up. In it, she shows how misogyny is not merely a side effect but a central driving force of violent extremism worldwide. With gripping stories, sharp analysis and compelling research, she explains how gender-based resentment fuels the rise of hate movements - and why understanding this connection is crucial to stopping them.

Tobias Ginsburg, journalist and author, who infiltrated the networks of right-wing radicals worldwide for his research and reports on the inner workings of these - mostly - all-male fraternities.

Both will speak about the structural, personal and ideological connections between misogyny and right-wing extremism in Germany, the USA and beyond.

Moderated by: Lubi Barre.

In addition to an introduction, the event includes a conversation with Miller-Idriss and Ginsburg, followed by a Q&A and a book signing. Books can be purchased on site.

The event is held in English and German; for the English part, which is limited to the introduction, a handout in German will be provided.
