On 25 January 2024, in cooperation with the American Women's Club of Hamburg (AWCH), an online seminar on U.S. taxes for expats living in Germany took place.
Tracy Moede (AWCH, US Tax & Banking Committee Co-Chair at FAWCO) and Kaitlin Krozel, certified public accountant and owner of Krozel Capital, first gave an overview of general information such as deadlines before going into the subject in more detail.
Topics discussed included: 2023 reporting deadlines, FEIE or FTC, foreign bank account reporting, state tax returns, rental properties and Corporate Transparency Act reporting.
